While in the Lebanon area on March 1, 2002 to celebrate the opening day of trout season, Gov. Bob Holden surprised cartoonist Matt Decker with a visit to The Lebanon Daily Record office. Decker presented Holden with a copy of the cartoon "Rappin' Robert Holden." The cartoon later took first place in the state at the 2002 Missouri Press Association Awards.
